Potatoes and Melons...please bear with me on this...While washing, scrubbing and drying them, I size them. I have found that the best analogy is potato and melon sizes. (Stay with me, please. ; D )

Then we get on to Rocks and Boulders and into melon types. You can have your Hearth Stone or House name or number on a Cantaloupe or a Watermelon or Pumpkin size boulder or rock.

This is the easiest way for me to communicate rock/stone/pebble/boulder sizes, hope it helps you too.


Then I ‘dress’ the rock with script and colour. I use eco pens and fine liners. Each layer of ink must dry before the next can be added. I do each piece by hand. No printing, no transfers, no computer stuff, just me, good music, nice milky coffees, a very large magnifying glass, a good light and a steady hand. Once it is all dry, a marine varnish is applied. Again, no aerosols or bulk machines, each rock is lovingly and carefully varnished, first on one side, then after 24-36 hours drying time the other side gets the same treatment. I never really know how a rock will turn out until I varnish it. The varnish brings out the true beauty of each and every rock.

So, for a message you can’t delete, for when you mean what you say, for when spoken words are not enough... use a WORDZROCK.
